Copito - Botanical crayons
Copito - Botanical crayons
These beautiful non-toxic crayons are a true labour of love - melted, mixed, poured, carved and wrapped individually by hand.
Made in small batches in the Garraf region of Spain, these botanical crayons are carved by hand, one by one, using locally-sourced beeswax, carnauba wax that is ethically farmed in Brazil and soy wax sourced from a sustainable EU producer.
The natural plant and mineral pigment used to give the crayons their beautiful earthy hues is foraged and processed by the owner of Copito somewhere between the Pyrenees and her home in the Garraf.
Each crayon is unique in colour and shape due to its handcrafted nature.
10 crayons in a set
roll-up canvas case and a small card explaining which plants and minerals were used to produce their colour
Hand-Made in Spain
Copito is a project by Clara Infante, a natural dyer and multidisciplinary maker and artist based in the Garraf region near Barcelona, Spain.
Her hands-on explorations with plant and earth pigments, then manifested through her beautiful sculptural wax creations.
